FD lift / Setting the SID
The image receptors are mounted on slides so that the distance from the X-ray
source to the image receptor plane (SID) can be changed.
u Press the rocker switch on the back of the stand/C-arm joystick (of the cor-
rect plane).
– Upper switch: increase SID
– Lower switch: decrease SID
Or
u Press the membrane key on the flat detector.
Take care to avoid possible collisions.
When the SID is changed, collimation is automatically readjusted.
