Communications
Communications: Modbus Register Map
The memory map of the IQ-300 occupies the Modbus holding registers (R40,001 and up).
This map is used when the protocol is Modbus RTU slave or Modbus ASCII slave.
Register Map for Most Common Data
The SITRANS LR 300 was designed to make it easy for master devices to get useful
information via Modbus. The chart below gives an overview of the different sections. A
more detailed explanation of each section follows.
Product ID (R40,064)
This value identifies the Siemens Milltronics device type. For the SITRANS LR 300, the
value is 3.
Legend
Type The type of data held in the group of registers.
Start The first register to hold the referenced data.
Data Type The possible values of the data in the register. See Data Types on page
for more information.
Description The type of data held in the individual registers.
#R The number of registers used for the referenced data.
Read/Write Indicates whether the register is readable, writeable, or both.
