5. Making Calls
Conference
The Conference feature lets the user have up to eight parties, including
himself, in a telephone conversation. The other parties besides the user
can be on trunks (outside lines) or extensions. Any party can leave the
conference by hanging up.
To set up a
conference
➩
During a conversation, scroll to
Start
conference?
and select it, if you have a
display phone.
Or press the Transfer key.
This puts the other party on consultation
hold. You will hear the confirmation tone,
followed by the internal dial tone.

Dial the extension you want to add, or dial
9 and the outside number.
➩
After the party answers, select
Conference?
, if you have a display phone.
Or press the Conference (CONF) key.
This joins all the parties, who will hear a
conference tone to signal that another party
has joined the call.
Note:
If you do not have a Conference key on your telephone, you
can also press the Transfer key to join all parties.
