5.4.3 Access Menu Command

Access Permissions for IP Addresses

In this menu, you specify the access permissions for IP addresses. You can spec-

ify whether management access (SNMP, Telnet, WBM) is possible with the defined

addresses:

● Management access is possible only with the defined addresses.

● Management access is possible with all IP addresses not included in the list.

Note

The defined access rights also apply to the PC used for configuration. If you have

not entered the local IP address and have set the ACL mode to Accessed, no fur-

ther access to the SCALANCE W744 is possible

You should also note that the IP address of the client can change if you use DHCP

without reservation.

Syntax of the Command Line Interface

access [E|D]

Enable / disable access control list.

statmgmt [A|D]

It is possible to access or not possi-

ble to access the IP addresses of

the access control list (Accessed /

Denied).

add <IP>

Adds a new IP address

edit <Index|IP addrss>

[E|D]

Enables / disables the entry in the

table specified by the index or IP

address.

delete

<Index|IP address>

Deletes the entry.

clearall

Clears the access control list.
