Automatic update for the VoIP provider settings
Via the Web configurator of the phone, you can activate an automatic version check
for the VoIP provider settings (provider profiles) loaded to your phone
(
¢ page 132).
After the first download of the VoIP provider settings, your phone will check daily
whether a newer version of the files for your VoIP providers is available from the
Internet on the configuration server.
If there is new provider data, the idle display on the handset displays the message
New profile available. The f message key flashes.
f Press the key.
§Yes§ Press the display key to confirm the subsequent prompt.
~ If the system PIN is not 0000: enter the system PIN and press §OK§.
The new data for your VoIP provider will be downloaded and saved on the phone.
A profile update will only be started if no other profile or firmware update is taking
place at the time.
Updating the phone firmware
Prerequisite: The phone is connected to the Internet (i.e., connected to a router,

If necessary, you can update your phone's firmware.
The firmware update is downloaded directly from the Internet by default. The rele-
vant Web page is preconfigured in your phone.
Prerequisite:
The phone is in idle status i.e.,
u No calls are being made.
u There is no internal connection between the registered handsets.
u The base menu is not open in any of the handsets.
Starting the firmware update manually
§Menu§ ¤Ï Settings ¤System ¤ Firmware Update
Select and press
§OK§.
~ If the system PIN is not 0000: enter the system PIN and press §OK§.
The phone establishes a connection to the Internet.
§Yes§ Press the display key to start the firmware update.
