Acoustic Sensing Theory of Operation
When metal is stressed there is
an acoustic emission on the
surface of the metal.
This acoustic emission is in the
75K to 175K Hz range, well above
the audible range
Because it is such a high
frequency it’s propagation range
is very short
The Siemens AS 100 senses this
frequency range and provide a
signal proportion to that signal
