From entry-level to executive, always
the right solution for your company
No matter what technology you use today –
or want to use tomorrow – Siemens Enterprise
Communications offers you devices that
always fit.
SIP telephony
SIP telephones use the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
to communicate with all the components in the
network. Integration into the open, Internet-based
structure of SIP communication networks makes
it possible to implement new features quickly and
simply. Thanks to the SIP standard, all SIP telephones
support a wide variety of SIP communication systems
and can give the demanding user access to business
applications.
IP telephony
With IP telephony or communication over IP, the
Internet protocol enables voice communication in
real time using the existing data network. Digitized
speech is compressed, packetized, transmitted, and
re-converted at the receiver’s end. Unauthorized
access to voice traffic is prevented via security features,
such as encryption and authentication mechanisms.
An IP phone is just as easy to use as a traditional
phone, but enables flexible office concepts and
seemless integration with soft clients.
TDM telephony
Traditional phone devices are targeted towards
customers who wish to keep their current telephony
solution, but want a high level of functionality and
style. Time Division Multiplexing is a mature technol-
ogy which requires a physical end-to-end connection
to be set up between two phones. The voice data
is carried by this connection.
